FAQ

Snakee FAQs

🔸 What is Snakee?

Snakee is a high-performance Layer 2 (L2) blockchain built on top of the Kaia network. It leverages ZK Rollups and EVM compatibility to enable fast, low-cost transactions. Snakee is also integrated with the LINE messaging app, making blockchain access easier for everyday users.

🔸 How does Snakee support Ethereum equivalence?

Snakee is EVM-compatible, meaning developers can deploy and run Ethereum-based smart contracts on Snakee with minimal modifications.

🔸 What is Snakee’s gas policy?

The SIA token is the native gas token on the Snakee chain. All transactions and smart contract executions consume gas in SIA. The specific gas pricing model will be shared in future updates. 🔸 What is special about Snakee’s account structure?

Details about Snakee’s account structure have not yet been fully disclosed. However, as an EVM-compatible chain, it is expected to use a familiar Ethereum-style account model.

🔸 Where can I start dApp development with Snakee?

Developers can build dApps on Snakee just like they would on any EVM chain. Support for development tools and documentation will be made available as the platform evolves.

🔸 Is Snakee open source?

Information regarding Snakee’s source code availability will be shared in a future update.

🔸 How can I initially fund my account on Snakee?

You can bridge KAIA tokens from the Kaia chain to Snakee to obtain SIA, the native gas token. A faucet will also be available to distribute test SIA for development and testing.

🔸 Are there any Snakee public node providers for testing and development?

Details regarding public node access for developers will be released soon.

🔸 Are there faucets to get test SIA?

Yes, Snakee will provide a testnet faucet to help developers obtain free test SIA tokens for development and testing purposes.

🔸 How do I check for public RPC endpoint status?

You can use the following public RPC endpoint to interact with the Snakee chain:

This endpoint allows users and developers to connect to the Snakee network using standard EVM-compatible tools like MetaMask, Hardhat, or web3 libraries.

🔸 Which wallets support Snakee?

Any EVM-compatible wallet like MetaMask can support Snakee by manually adding the Snakee network. A guide will be provided to help users connect.

🔸 Are there any Snakee SDKs? In what languages?

No SDKs have been announced yet for Snakee. Updates will follow as the ecosystem grows.

🔸 Must I install and run a node to use Snakee?

No, end users and developers can interact with Snakee through RPC endpoints and supported wallets without running their own node.

🔸 Can I use ERC-20 and ERC-721 contracts on Snakee?

Yes. Since Snakee is EVM-compatible, it fully supports ERC-20, ERC-721, and other Ethereum standards.

🔸 Where can I get a browser extension wallet like MetaMask?

MetaMask and other popular EVM-compatible wallets like Rabby can be used to interact with Snakee.
